It is one of the most common disorders involving the neurological system both in children and adults. One in every 10 children are said to present with at least a mild level of seizures. Any trigger or disturbance resulting in the change of normal neurotic signals flow from the brain to the nerves and organs leads to seizures. They can be due to genetic mutations, hereditary issues and/or trauma to head. A seizure or a fit usually lasts for about 30 seconds to 2 minutes and if it lasting longer than an hour, it is to be treated as a medical emergency.
