What is it?

It is chronic and progressive condition where the heart muscle is not able to pump blood properly, resulting in low blood flow to the organs. This condition occurs due to weakened heart muscle, increased hypertension, clogged arteries, cardiac myopathy, and/or ischemic heart tissues. Based on which part of the heart muscles are more effected, heart failure can either be left or right heart failure. Based on the severity, it can either be chronic or acute heart failure and based on a person’s heartbeat affected, it can be systolic or diastolic. It results in sudden shortness of breath, weakness tremors and/or loss of consciousness.
